Hervé Ballone is Director and AIFM Board Member of the Carlyle Group, which is a global investment firm with $325 billion of assets under management. In the past he worked as Conducting Officer and Chief Compliance Officer in the abovementioned group. He has over 10 years’ professional experience in legal, compliance, governance & management roles with a demonstrated history of working in the banking and investment funds. He has focused my career specifically on compliance and has also a legal/finance background, holding the CCDL qualification (Luxembourg Bar), a degree from the EDHEC Business School and a Master 2 in Business Law from the Catholic University of Lille. He is passionate about AML/CFT and involved in a broad range of regulatory compliance and governance aspects including Mifid II, GDPR, FATCA, CRS, AIFMD, UCITS, advising the business and board, training colleagues and undertaking project work. Hervé Ballon is also a certified compliance specialist, a board member & co-president of ALCO, lecturer at the House of Training & ATTF, co-chairman of working groups, AML/CFT authored/panellist and visiting Lecturer in the Law Faculty of Lille Catholic University.
